Mi chiamo Alessio Garzia e desidero presentare la mia candidatura in ASHRAE Italy Chapter. Sono tra i Membri Fondatori dell’Associazione e attualmente ricopro la carica di Segretario del Chapter.
Lavoro nel settore della progettazione degli impianti meccanici da oltre trent’anni.
Il mio percorso professionale parte dalla realizzazione di sistemi analogici di regolazione automatica e si è sviluppato progressivamente verso la progettazione di impianti complessi nel settore real-estate.
Particolarmente formativo e sfidante é stata l’attivitá di direzione di progetto impianti meccanici per il progetto Citylife a Milano, in collaborazione con Ramboll e J&A consultant.
Per quindici anni ho svolto attività di libera professione nel mio studio di progettazione, occupandomi direttamente di progettazione impiantistica, coordinamento tecnico e gestione dei rapporti con clienti e imprese.
Oggi sono Technical Lead in Kirby Group Engineering, dove mi occupo di supporto alle attivitá di commissioning e gestione dello sviluppo costruttivo dell’ingegneria per progetti di realizzazione di Datacenter Hyperscale.
ASHRAE, di cui sono membro dal 2012, rappresenta per me una comunità tecnica di riferimento, capace di coniugare standard, innovazione e condivisione della conoscenza.
Come President-Elect, mi propongo di supportare il Board con un approccio pragmatico, volto a rafforzare il valore tecnico del Chapter, favorire il confronto tra esperienze diverse, supportare la formazione e creare opportunitá concrete per i giovani, avvicinare sempre di più teoria e pratica

My name is Alessio Garzia, and I am pleased to submit my application to the ASHRAE Italy Chapter. I am one of the Founding Members of the Association and currently serve as Secretary of the Chapter.
I have over thirty years of experience in mechanical systems design. My professional career began with the development of analogic automatic control systems and gradually evolved toward the design of complex mechanical systems within the real estate sector.
One of the most formative and challenging milestones in my career was serving as Mechanical Systems Project Engineer for the CityLife development in Milan, delivered in collaboration with Ramboll and J&A Consultants.
For fifteen years, I worked as an independent consulting engineer, leading my own design practice. During this time, I was directly responsible for mechanical systems design, technical coordination, and the management of relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
I am currently Technical Lead at Kirby Group Engineering, where I support commissioning activities and oversee the constructability development of engineering design for Hyperscale Datacenter projects.
ASHRAE, of which I have been a member since 2012, represents for me a core technical community, one that effectively brings together standards, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
As President-Elect, I aim to support the Board with a pragmatic, hands-on approach, focused on strengthening the technical value of the Chapter, encouraging dialogue between diverse professional experiences, supporting education and training, and creating tangible opportunities for young professionals, while continuously bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Mi chiamo Francesco Rucco e sono un Ingegnere Energetico con oltre quindici anni di esperienza nella gestione tecnica e anageriale di progetti complessi in ambito building, industriale, infrastrutturale e data center. Attualmente ricopro il ruolo di Engineering Director in Equans Italia, posizione nella quale coordino le risorse del dipartimento tecnico e supervisiono la revisione tecnica dei progetti.
Nel corso della mia carriera ho maturato una solida esperienza nella gestione
multidisciplinare dei team di ingegneria (meccanica, elettrica, civile e commissioning), nel controllo dell’avanzamento lavori, nel problem solving tecnico e nel coordinamento con le diverse business unit aziendali. Ho operato su progetti su data center, ospedali, infrastrutture pubbliche, hotel di lusso e complessi industriali, sviluppando una visione completa del ciclo di vita del progetto, dalla pianificazione alla realizzazione.

My name is Francesco Rucco, and I am an Energy Engineer with more than fifteen years of professional experience in the technical and managerial oversight of complex projects in the building, industrial, infrastructure, and data center sectors. I currently serve as Engineering Director at Equans Italia, where I am responsible for coordinating the technical department’s resources and overseeing the technical review and validation of projects.
Over the course of my professional career, I have acquired extensive experience in the multidisciplinary coordination of engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, and commissioning), in work progress monitoring, technical problem-solving, and in the effective collaboration with the various business units within structured organizations. È tra i membri fondatori di ASHRAE Italy e ricopre il ruolo di Government Affair Chair, contribuendo alle iniziative del Chapter e promuovendo la collaborazione con istituzioni e altre associazioni di settore.
Eng. Federica Quartieri – Board Member and Director of Lombardini22, architecture, engineering, and real estate services firm, focus on MEP design for Data Centres. She is one of the founders of the ASHRAE Italy Chapter and she currently is the Chair of the Government Affair contributing to the Chapter’s initiatives, promoting the collaboration with institutions and other industry associations.

Mi chiamo Salvatore Rugiero e sono un Ingegnere Energetico, CEO e Direttore Tecnico di RISE srl, società di ingegneria energetica con sede in Italia. Ho conseguito una laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Energetica presso il Politecnico di Milano. Sono inoltre uno dei fondatori di ASHRAE Italy Chapter.
La mia attività professionale è focalizzata sulla progettazione integrata di impianti HVAC, elettrici e dei sistemi edificio, con particolare attenzione all’efficienza energetica e all’ottimizzazione delle prestazioni. Nel corso della mia carriera ho sviluppato una solida esperienza nel commissioning di sistemi critici per data center hyperscale e colocation, contribuendo a garantire elevati livelli di affidabilità e resilienza per infrastrutture mission-critical.
